'Love Now' Exhibit at Nordstrom Celebrates Black History Month

Nordstrom invites customers to experience photographers' interpretation of love through their talented and thought-provoking perspectives.

SEATTLE, Jan 19, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- In celebration of Black History Month, Nordstrom will showcase the work of renowned and up and coming African- American photographers in an exhibit called "Love Now." The exhibit will be displayed in select Nordstrom stores and will feature works inspired by the photographers' interpretation of love in our times.

The exhibit is a public tribute to the art and talent of black professional photographers, and honors the contributions that African- Americans have made to society as a whole. In its second year, the exhibit has expanded to feature over twice as many photographers. The artwork will be on display the entire month of February.

"We are excited to showcase the work of talented photographers in our stores for the second year in a row during Black History Month," said Delena Sunday, Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Diversity Affairs. "We feel this unique exhibit is an opportunity to share their thought-provoking photographs inspired by the different backgrounds and experiences of these artists. We are thrilled to honor them and to share their talent with our customers."
