Nordstrom Rack to Open at City Center in White Plains, New York

SEATTLE, April 22, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN), a leading fashion specialty retailer, announced today that it will open a 35,000 square-foot Nordstrom Rack at City Center Shopping Center in White Plains, NY in fall 2008.

Nordstrom Rack is the company's off-price retail division offering savings of 30 to 75 percent on apparel and accessories for women, men and children, including one of the most extensive collections of name-brand shoes available. Nordstrom Rack merchandise is made up of products from Nordstrom full-line stores and the company's online store at Nordstrom.com, as well as special purchase items.

The Nordstrom Rack at City Center will be the retailer's second Rack store in New York. Nordstrom also operates a Rack at The Mall at the Source in Hempstead. In addition to its Rack stores, Nordstrom also operates two full-line stores in New York at Roosevelt Field in Garden City and The Westchester in White Plains.

City Center is a $350 million residential-retail-entertainment complex in the heart of downtown White Plains. The 1.1 million square-foot development opened in October 2003. The complex features 400,000 square-feet of retail, which includes Barnes & Noble, Circuit City, Filene's Basement, Target and New York Sports Club. It also has 30,000 square-feet of restaurants, a 15-screen national Amusements Multiplex, the 450-seat White Plains Performing Arts Center and a residential component called One City Place.
