Shoes are one of the most expensive items that families need to purchase at the beginning of the school year. Having a good pair of shoes is a key part of a child's success in school and can contribute to higher self-esteem. For the past 12 years, we have partnered with the non-profit organization Shoes That Fit to provide shoes to children in need. This year, in celebration of Shoes That Fit’s 30th anniversary, Nordstrom is setting its largest goal yet to raise $1 million. Nordstrom and our customers will reach an exciting milestone, providing more than 300,000 pairs of brand-new, properly fitting athletic shoes to kids in our local communities. We will host six shoe delivery events in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Portland and Seattle in addition to supporting schools throughout the U.S. with 40,000 brand new Nike shoes.
