Nordstrom Rack to Open at Shops of Southlake in Southlake, Texas

SEATTLE, Aug. 28, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN), a leading fashion specialty retailer, announced it will open a 35,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack, a unit of the company's off-price retail division, at Shops of Southlake in Southlake, Texas, in fall 2009.

This will be the retailer's third Nordstrom Rack in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area and its fourth in the state. Nordstrom currently operates a Rack store at Preston Shepard Place in Plano, Texas and a new Nordstrom Rack will open at Park Lane in Dallas in spring 2009. The company will also open a new Nordstrom Rack at The Rim in San Antonio on Nov. 13, 2008. Nordstrom also operates seven full-line stores in Texas, with four located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Developed by Cencor and leased by the Weitzman Group, Shops of Southlake sits across from the Southlake Town Square. Located on the corner of E. Southlake Blvd. and S. Carroll Ave., the center is anchored by Central Market and features other retailers including Bailey Banks & Biddle, Coal Vines, DSW, Pier One and Swoozie's.

Nordstrom Rack is the company's off-price retail division offering savings of 30 to 70 percent on apparel and accessories for women, men and children, including one of the most extensive collections of name-brand shoes available.
